As a young lad, I was blessed with a Grandfather that introduced all of his Grandchildren to the art of storytelling. Through the depths of the Depression, he was forced to make token payments on his home mortgage, but this did not tarnish his joy in life, people and nature.

Birding - From The Mining Company - Henrietta Hummer There are three things that can do wonders to create a pleasing environment around the home, and they are the first things I look and plan for when relocating (even if the home is a campsite). They are trees (because they help to create a comfortable and visually appealing human environment), birds (because of their delightful music and their diet - mostly insect pests) and running water. This site helps us to learn and understand more about one leg of the trilogy above. Go for the most recent one first -- the story of Henrietta Hummer: Incredible story of a baby hummer in California who lived in a house. If you don't want the birds in your yard, try for some FREE Bird Clipart.
